In mid-1997, a stall at the Shihlin night market in the suburbs of Taipei, Taiwan, showcased colorful craft punches that attracted a group of expatriate mothers who met each week to enjoy scrapbooking together.  Before long, in search of additional punches at lower prices, Cheryl Fihn connected with a Taiwan punch manufacturer and The PUNCH BUNCH was born!

After repatriating to central Texas, Cheryl began peddling punches from her minivan as she visited scrapbook stores on trips from Texas to Minnesota.  She initially warehoused punches in the master bathroom and ran the business from a spare bedroom.  Slowly, the business started to grow.  Cheryl began creating her own punch designs, based on her own desires as well as ideas from customers.  The warehouse expanded to take over the garage; the bedroom transformed into an office; and customers kept coming…  The PUNCH BUNCH now operates from an office/warehouse space that has been expanded once already and is beginning to burst at the seams. 

THE PUNCH BUNCH was originally created as an educational opportunity for the Fihn’s four home-schooled children to experience the operation of a business from the ground up.  The company mission is to provide independent scrapbook and stamp retailers with top quality punches and punch related products at minimal cost to retailers.  The Punch Bunch now offers more than 500 punch designs as well as punch aides and idea books.  With a sincere desire to contribute to the success of independent scrapbook and stamp retailers, THE PUNCH BUNCH strives to cost-effectively provide innovative designs and offer the most extensive punch line.  From its humble beginnings, The Punch Bunch has grown into one of the largest providers of craft punches in the world, shipping to general craft, scrapbook, and stamp retailers throughout the world.

With THE PUNCH BUNCH, there is never a minimum order amount or order quantity required.  Buyers may order in the quantities needed rather than having to meet undesirably high minimum order quantities.  Freight is always charged at the actual cost and there are no hidden handling fees.  The company’s practice is to ship in-stock items within two working days after order placement.

The Punch Bunch is pleased to introduce Punch Blossoms, a unique three-dimensional art form that combines punches and stamps to create beautiful floral arrangements.  By combining punches from The Punch Bunch and specialty stamps from Punch Blossoms, enthusiasts can quickly put together cards, scrapbook pages, or other decorative pieces.

Punch Blossoms are the creation of Redmond, Washington-based Susan Tierney-Cockburn.  Susan has been a "stamper" for over 15 years and has created 3D floral paper art from punches for more than 8 years.  She regularly teaches 3D floral paper art at local stamp stores and designs her specialty stamps to combine stamping and punching into a single medium.  Her first stamps, called Punch-Ins, are quite popular.  The Punch Blossoms concept does not include a frame around the design, so that two or more designs can be combined to create artwork with simple masking techniques so that the end result is quite spectacular -- particularly for scrapbookers.  Susan has been married for 35 years and has two daughters.
